MANALI DIARIES
Hello everyone to a new blog series! In this blog, I will share with you my Manali trip experience. Recently, I visited a wonderful and beautiful place in Manali in April. It was one of my best travel stories where I went on a road trip from Delhi to Manali. Manali is also known as the heart of Himachal Pradesh and serves as a middle place between Shimla and Leh Ladakh. During this trip, I visited the most aesthetic and beautiful places which, I'll be discussing further.
MY JOURNEY!!!
Day 1: We started our journey from New Delhi from where we booked our bus tickets online in advance. So, we boarded our bus in the evening at 6pm from Majnu ka Tila. It was a direct bus from Delhi to Manali and has multiple stops for breaks. We were excited and excited to reach our destination as soon as possible. During Night, the city of Delhi was looking extremely beautiful because of the lights. We had dinner at a local restaurant (Dhaba) in Chandigarh at 2 am. However, the food quality was not up to the mark, so we just decided to have tea. If you are on a road trip, especially on the bus, I will highly recommend everyone carry their own snacks and have lightweight food on board so that you don't feel sick and dizzy during your journey. Then after having dinner, we all slept like a baby.
Day 2: I woke up at 7 am in the morning and we were already in mountains. I was completely mesmerized by the beauty of the mountains. Our bus stooped in mandi for breakfast. Due to the long journey, we all were feeling tired and needed to freshen up so again we just had a simple breakfast and headed to our journey. We reached Manali at 10:30 am. The bus dropped us at a private bus stand.
As soon as we reached there, we can already feel the aura and freshness in the air. From there we took a taxi to Manali Mall road to reach our hotel. We checked in at exactly 12pm and took a rest till evening. In the evening we decided to explore the local area of Manali. We visited mall road which had so many food outlets and cafes. We ate some local street food there and then went to our hotel. Since evening, it was raining so we decided to chill in our hotel room and had a group party that night.
Day 3: We all were so tired from yesterday's party that we all woke up late. Our plan was to go to Rohtang La pass but unfortunately, the weather was not that great at that time, so it was not open for tourists. One of the local drivers suggested us a place called Khokhsar and he told us that we could see snow there. So, we all agreed and went to this place. I was not that excited because I just felt like the driver was fooling us but when we reached that place, it just took my breath away. It was snow everywhere and we also crossed the famous ATAL TUNNEL. It was a 2-hour drive from Manali. The views were so good that I almost couldn't believe my eyes. Nature beauty was best at this place.
Day 4: After exploring and having fun in Snow, this day we decided to go on Bijli Mahadev Trek. At first, we were confused about going because it was not an easy trek, and we all were already exhausted from yesterday's madness. But we gave it a try and leave our hotel around 11 am. We then booked a local taxi from mall road. It was again a 2-hour drive from Manali to Bijli Mahadev. Since a lot of people still don't know about this place, so I'll tell you a few points about this magnificent place.
BIJLI (THUNDER) MAHADEV Temple is one of India's dedicated to LORD SHIVA. This place is located in Kashawri village near Kullu valley. The roads are also not in a good condition, so it is highly advisable to go there according to weather forecasts. It's a 3km trek where you can experience the pure vibes of this holy place. The views and the whole trek are completely a parallel universe experience.
We started our trek from the initial point and there only I realized that it was not an easy one. One needs good stamina and health to complete this trek. We decided to go slow and took small steps rather than taking big ones. During this trek, I felt a completely different vibe in that place. It was so pure, and it was something that cannot be described in words. If you are planning to Manal, visit this place for a completely different experience.
Day 5: It was our last day in Manali. We need to catch our bus in the evening at 5pm for Delhi. We only had a couple of hours before we leave for Delhi. Instead, of resting we decided to go to one more place which was the famous Hidimba Temple of Manali. It was only a 10 min drive from mall road. We got there and there were a lot of people as compared to other places in Manali. We clicked a few pics there and just spend our spare time sitting there in the beautiful spot. While we were leaving for Delhi, we all were feeling really sad and wished that we could have had more time to spend here. We took our bus from the same private bus stand at 5pm.
Day 6: We all were so tired from this trip that we all just slept during our whole journey to Delhi. It was around 6 am when we reached Delhi. We were welcomed by hot and humid weather. Finally, the bus left us at Kashmere Gate metro station, and we all met for a final time and left for our homes.
Overall, it was a great experience. I wish I could have more time because I still couldn't get over this place and I really hope I visit it soon to explore more hidden gems in Manali.
Thank You!
Hope you enjoyed this blog.
